Zhangzhou (/ ˈ dʒ æ ŋ ˈ dʒ oʊ /, Mandarin: [ʈʂaŋ.ʈʂóʊ]) is a prefecture-level city in Fujian Province, China. The prefecture around the city proper comprises the southeast corner of the province, facing the Taiwan Strait and (with Quanzhou) surrounding the prefecture of Xiamen.

漳州市 （しょうしゅうし）は 中華人民共和国 福建省 南東部に位置する 地級市。 1986年 に 国家歴史文化名城 に指定されている。 秦 による中国統一が達成されると、 紀元前222年 に閩中郡が置かれ、 前漢 に梁山を境界として 南越 ・ 閩越 の両国に分割された。 前漢が南越・閩越の両国を滅ぼすと、 南海郡 掲陽県・ 会稽郡 侯官県の管轄に置かれた。 三国時代 の 呉 により 建安郡 が置かれ、南海郡掲陽県・建安郡東安県に属した。 晋 により 晋安郡 ・ 義安郡 が置かれ、義安郡綏安県・晋安郡晋安県に属した。 南朝梁 により 南安郡 が置かれ、義安郡綏安県・南安郡竜渓県・蘭水県に属した。
